Site submission policy

Unlike some so called child friendly directories SafeSearcher does not automatically accept
every site submitted to it. To maintain our high standards SafeSearcher is edited by humans. This
means that someone physically surfs the submitted site to verify that it is child friendly and
suitable to be included in the SafeSearcher directory.

Sites do not necessarily need to be exclusively directed at children. Stores and businesses offering
services or products needed by families are welcome to seek inclusive as long as they conduct
themselves in a family friendly way. In fact, any child safe, family friendly website can apply to be
listed with the Safe Searcher directory provided they meet the following criteria:

Because each site is physically checked by a SafeSearcher editor there is a review fee of £5.
Please note that this fee is a payment for the reviewer's time and is not an inclusion fee.
SafeSearcher can not guarantee a site's inclusion in the directory and there will be no refund of
the reviewers fee if a site is rejected. The editors decision is final.

Websites will only be included in our database if they are child safe and family friendly. They must not
contain any material which in our opinion could be considered in any way unlawful, illegal, threatening,
harmful, abusive, harassing, stalking, tortious, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, obscene, offensive,
objectionable, pornographic, designed to or does interfere or interrupt this web site or any service provided,
infected with a virus or other destructive or deleterious programming routine, give rise to civil or criminal
liability, or which may violate an applicable local, national or international law. Websites must not
impersonate or misrepresent an association with any person or entity, or forge or otherwise seek to
conceal or misrepresent the origin of any Content provided by you or collect or harvest any data about other
users.
